It was still in pretty decent shape and didn't need a full polishing or anything yet, although I can definitely see some small micro-scratches in areas...but it's to be expected on a daily-driver black car. What are ya gonna do, lol.

So I cleaned her up via...

Two bucket wash and Foam Gun with Chemical Guys Wash and Gloss
Chemical Guys EZ-Creme Glaze applied via PC and White Pad
Final Wipe-down with Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax
Tires and Wells dressed with Meguiars Hot Shine Gel
Trim was dressed with TW ICE Liquid Polish (about all I use it for)
Then right before I took it out for photos I did another wipe-down with Showroom FX quick detailer


Results:

Foamed up :)

A bit of the dreaded roof bubbling, but at least it's got the clarity :)

This area could use a bit of a finishing polish to refine it down a bit, but it's still holding out pretty well, like I said, for a daily driver.

Looks great! That EZ Creme must have done a good job because it looks wet and deep. Very nice.

The car and especially the paint looks superb for an 11 year old car. The paint looks wet.

Looks great! That EZ Creme must have done a good job because it looks wet and deep. Very nice.

EZ-Creme Glaze is a fantastic product which, even though it's a glaze it doesn't really contain much of a filler, but it makes the finish look nice and deep. It also contains an acrylic sealant which I can't speak for the durability...we'll see. This is the first time I haven't topped it with something else.

I'm more inclined to use EZ Creme with a gray pad rather than white. Anyhow, great job!

Did you do those short vertical areas on the hood between the scoops and rear spoiler with the PC? My S2K has some areas like that on the front fenders and have been wondering how I'm going to do them. I'm a newbie and trying to figure this out before I do anything.

Did you do those short vertical areas on the hood between the scoops and rear spoiler with the PC? My S2K has some areas like that on the front fenders and have been wondering how I'm going to do them. I'm a newbie and trying to figure this out before I do anything.

I'm not QUITE sure what area you mean that is on the hood between the scoops and rear spoiler?

Ok I was talking about 2 different areas. The hood around the Ram Air, small vertical areas along the scoops. And another area, the rear spoiler.

Ha ha, gotcha.

Well I didn't do any compounding/polishing this time around, but for the raised portions on the hood I did it the best I could before with a 4" pad on a 3" backing plate. I couldn't do that with the spoiler though because of the weird angles. I could've probably done it by hand, but it wasn't really necessary.
