Non-Streaking Exterior Plastic Dressing?

Does such a thing exist?? I have a hard plastic tonneau cover on my truck that I dressed with Meguiar's Hyperdressing about a year ago. I hate to admit it, but even after many drive-through car washes and rains over a 10 month period when family and working out of state prohibited me from washing or detailing my truck it still seems to be on there. I recently detailed my truck (a 3 day process) and washed the tonneau thoroughly. But, two hours after I wrapped up the detail, Houston weather being what it is, it rained. I immediately noticed that there was streaking from the tonneau which leads me to believe the Hyperdressing is still there!! This weekend when I wash the truck I plan on using some Meg's APC in hopes that will clear off any left over HD. Is there a product I can use to protect the tonneau that will not streak off?

I've lost faith in HD and wish I hadn't bought a gallon of it back in the day.:nomore:(Except on the tires until I use it up)

Yeah being water based, it probably was washed off rather quickly.

I've used and enjoyed Poorboy's Trim Restore.

It's an easy on, smells good, seems to last a good long time product. I use either a foam paint brush or foam wax applicator (dedicated) for application and I easily get 3 or 4 months of great looking trim on a Honda Element that is outside basically 7x24.

You time needed between application will probably vary depending on weather conditions.

Do a search here and on the other car detailing sites and you'll notice it is consistently one of the products that keeps getting mentioned.

Over all price per ounce isn't bad either, of course like most other chemicals it goes down with the bigger containers. You don't need much either so the small bottle should last you a good long time.

If it's not that, what could it be? Those streaks are only around the back end of the truck underneath the tonneau. It's really bizarre....and ugly!! I remember the first time I used hyperdressing and had it on pretty thick for the shine and it streaked like crazy after it rained.

I've seen Trim Restore mentioned in a lot of posts so I'll give that a shot on my next order. I've recently spent another $200+ on detailing supplies (and it's only a hobby) and I don't want to upset the accountant any more than that (my wife).
