Tips, plastic fender flares

Im doing some correcting on my truck. Mainly just swirls and a few scratches. Everything has been going well. Today I got to the fender flares, they are plastic but are painted the same color as my truck. For what ever reason, same product (swirl X), pad(LC white) I swithced to a 4" pad as it fit the flares better. I cant seem to get rid of all the swirls in this area as I did on the other panels. Any suggestions? Is polishing the plastic any different. Thanks

You will find correcting paint, sometimes will be different on plastic to metal to carbon fiber. etc.

You might have to go with a orange pad on the fender flares, then follow up with a white pad.

I had a 2010 camaro with a after market plastic tail. I had more trouble correcting that then the car.
