Can I polish with D151 under the sun just like PB SSR ?

You can use D151 under the sun, it depends on how hot the paint is.

You can...but why would you? Not only does it up the chances of dry buffing and the polish drying out...contaminants from the air can get on your paint, in your polish, and on your pad...and cause marring. I'd always suggest out of the sun...or at least under a tent.

Describe sun?

Right now it's 6:50am in the morning here in Stuart, Florida and the sun is up but it's cool outside.

In August, in Arizona at noon the sun will be high overhead and the sun will be out.

Both conditions fall under the the idea of "working in the sun" but in Arizona in August at noon black paint will reach a temperature of over 180 degrees easily and any liquid product applied to the paint will tend to want to dry very quickly even if on the label it says, "can be used in the sun".

I've seen this question so many times in my life and here's the deal, some products can be used in the sun but common sense tells us if the surface is really hot that it's going to try to cause the product to dry before it be effectively worked and wiped off.

One thing for sure, even for products that can be used in the sun, they will always work better on a cool surface in the shade.

If you don't have shade then try to work in the early morning while the sun is low and the surrounding air temperatures are still low... as the day goes by it will only get hotter.

I did a Jeep liberty 3-step under the sun from 12h to 7h pm at 25 celcius with Poorboys. I understand that even if a compound is good for the sun, it's better not.

But let's take menzerna, they really don't work under the sun. even under my carport, I found they dry quicker than SSR for exemple.

I do detailing as a side-line the week-end and I never if my customer have a garage or one that is large enought so I can work on the side or a carport like I do. If it's hotter than 25 celcius, I will cancel because it's too hot for me anyways.
