Great question and I'll pass this along...

What's challenging is there's always more ideas for great videos than there is time to shoot and edit... at this time...

Great idea!
I'm afraid to clean my engine bay, a video might help to have confidence in me that "I can do it".

Now you can tell Max you have two votes for an engine detailing video.

Four. I am deathly afraid to take a hose under my hood! :dig: Maybe you could do part of the video or a separate video on rinseless/waterless engine washing? Though I'm not sure how that would turn out.

Really guys, there's not much to taking water to your engine bay. Just remember to:
1) cover all electrical components
2) never SPRAY, use low pressure
3) agitate with a soft brush
4) make sure the engine is cool before you begin

After that it's just like cleaning your tires and wheels. Some will say I'm wrong, but I have cleaned numerous engine bays and have yet to ever have any problems what so ever. Now, if you have a Laborgini, Ashten Martin, Bently or any other 150k+ vehicle well just use a rag and soapy water.

They already made a video for that..........just suggesting a video for engine detailing, which does frighten some people (including me).

I've detailed a few engines and it's actually very easy. I think the key is the right degreaser and a pressure washer. The few engines I've done were pretty dirty, and I didn't scrub anything! I sprayed an ample amount of optimum power clean undiluted, let it dwell for a couple minutes, then rinsed with the pressure washer. Engine CLEAN!! Dried with a leaf blower, then sprayed with CD-2. Let the CD-2 dwell for a bit, then quickly wiped to a matte, new look! The only thing I covered on the engines was an exposed alternator. Never have had any problems, knock on wood!

I would never consider engine detailing without a pressure washer. It makes a huge difference, IMO. Then again, some are afraid to use one, which is understandable. :dblthumb2:
