The wife recently got a new car, a Bali Blue Acura MDX. Its only 4 months old but so the interior was flawless and the exterior was in pretty good shape for a dealership "detail".
Well this weekend I decided to give it a full detail. It was raining earlier this week so it was pretty dirty to begin with. I forgot to take some pics in the middle of the process.
After a late start (due to HH the night before :xyxthumbs: ) I got started with a Cobra MF mitt, bucket with grit guard and Maguire’s Gold Class soap.

With the car being new I started with a blue edge pad and 106fa but it wasn’t getting it done, I could still see light water marks and some fine scratches.

I moved up a pad but still no luck so I went with an orange pad and Mezerna SIP. Followed by a blue edge pad and Mezerna 106fa

I then went with Klasse Sealant Glaze by hand and wow, this stuff wasn’t easy to work with. So after the first coat I called it a night. By late the next morning (14hr cure) I went out and put on the second coat using kllr’s WOWO method but it still was a bit of a bear. Maybe the high heat and humidity played a part???

This morning after a 24 hour cure on the second coat I went out and put on two coats of Natty Blue by hand. Followed up by several passes with some more Cobra MF to remove all the remaining residue.
After some Maguire’s Wheel Gel, DG Nu Glass and PB Black Trim restorer.....

Of course I didn’t do this by myself, I had my trusty partner who just had to be in the garage when it was 94deg and 45% humidity. Of course the box fan turned on high made it bearable. She was there most of the time I was out there.
