I would like to know how long a Hook and Loop Backing Plate should last? I understand it depends on a lot of factors but I'm trying to get a general feel if I should have 2-3 or more...
I'm using a PC 7424XP with 5" LC Backing Plate with 6.5" CCS and 5.5" Flat pads.
Thank you in advance for your help!

I had one for about 5 years before the rubber gave out ... my others seem to still be in good shape.

My original pc had a 5 inch backing plate. Which like Scott said had for like 5 years. Never a issue. In fact I gave that pc and plate to a good friend. A few months back, when I got my new griot's.
It is never a bad idea to have a extra around just in case :xyxthumbs:

I have some that are 4-5-6 years old. I always keep a backup on hand but very seldom have I had a BP fail on me.
