What would be your choice of products if you had to detail a 2002 Black F-250 Crew Cab with little/medium scratches and water marks. I would like to know what compounds, polishes, sealants, waxes etc. you would use and in what order. I just want to see some opinions and get some more ideas before I place my order. Thank you

Get the XMT line up with a jar of Max Wax. That would be the best bang for the buck. I use them all the time and love them.

Black is going to need alot of upkeep, especially if a truck is used like a truck. I would toss a sealant into the mix versus just a carnuaba for added protection. Maybe the DP Shield Shine or Duragloss.

Yeah, a sealant would offer awesome protection. Then, top it with MW. I just like the look of carnauba wax on black. A good one that is.

ok well in that case ill suggest some and if you want you can get them too.
PC
Edge 2000 Pad system
edge Shmitt seems to be a great item these days
XMT polishes, either #3 and #1, or #2 and #1
definately buy the xmt pad cleaner and conditioner
a sealant like mentioned
Max Wax
your also going to want some tire and trim dressing. for the interior and exterior trim i use aerospace 303, but i personally would rather use cheaper stuff to do the tires only

Kelso, thanks for your help. I have narrowed it down to the pc with the edge 2k pads, most likely xmt polishes, cleaner & conditioner, don't know what sealant or wax yet, still open to suggestions. I plan on getting a guzzler, shmitt, foam gun, aqua wax quick wax. I already have the 303 and like it a lot. Gonna try a new tire shine still undecided. So many choices and decisions!

You can always get some Collinite wax too. That way you can use the XMT glaze which is AWESOME and you can top it with a wax that has great durability as well. Just a suggestion. :)
