I was wondering if anyone could honestly tell me if this is a good setup...it seems like alot of money to me. Can I buy this stuff cheaper elsewhere like auto detail supply outlet? I am willing to pay the premium for great results. How does my shopping cart look?

Get a kit with 5.5" pads and pick up another 6 pack of pads and at least a 6 pack of nice microfibers.

Ditch the headlight restorer and pick up some 600, 1000, and 1500 grit sandpaper. Wet sand the headlights, buff & polish them, then seal them. Reapply the sealant regularly. (the sandpaper shouldn't be more than 10-12 bucks).

So you get:

backing plate: 16.99

Meguiars Ultra Polish Kit with 5.5 Inch Pads, Meguiars Mirror Glaze Polishes, Meguiar's Polish Kit, 5.5 inch buffing pad kit (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-ultra-polish-kit.html)
$100 (ask for flat pads)

Lake Country 5 1/2 x 7/8 inch Beveled Edge Pads 6 Pack, foam pad kit, build a kit, buffing pads, curved edge pads (http://www.autogeek.net/lake-country-beveled-pad-kit.html)
34.99 (1 orange, 3 white, 2 blue)

Get the bigger bottle of WG DGPS 2x the amount for 10 bucks more. 29.99
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant delivers a deep, wet, liquid shimmer unlike anything you can imagine. (http://www.autogeek.net/wg5500.html)

6 pack of Cobra Deluxe Jr's 39.99
Cobra Deluxe Jr. 600 Microfiber Towels 6 Pack (http://www.autogeek.net/cobra-deluxe-jr-towels.html)

233.96 for good stuff and you've got enough to last a while. (basically the same price as what you have, but I think this is a more complete list of items that will last you for a LONG TIME)

Also, if you're not familiar with the process; read everything... more than once. Same goes for the videos.
