Did this bartering for a fathers day gift...or at least some contruction work. Worked all day friday...then came home to find this sitting in my driveway. Started on it around 9:30pm. Wanted to get the exterior paint shining in comparison to what it was. Since I was bartering for work and it needed to get done by tomorrow morning...I settled with doing a heavy cutting AIO and heavy cutting process while still being able to finish down. Finished up around 1:30am.

It was amazing how many scratches actually came out and how much color it brought back to the paint.

Truck was already cleaned and clayed when it came to me. Just needed my attention to the paint. Like I said speed and outcome was the goal with one cut.

Process: KBM w/ GG DA - Many LC Orange Pads - Meguiars Cut & Cream
LSP: BFWD

Nice job !! That looks good and will make him happy. Not everyone has showcars. It's a "truck", and it looks 100% better.

Wow! Nice speed job!

Do you only do detailing part time?

Nope full time.

Cool :xyxthumbs:
Which "version" of the KBM do you use? I have seen many on various forums...leaving polish residue and changing pads, relieving pressure as the polishing goes on..etc.?

Yeah thats why there are only shots of one side. I was working my ass off for the first 60% of the vehicle, then noticed such a huge difference I decided to pull the camera out.

Yep it was my friends fathers in law. 1 owner truck that has never seen wax...never.

Sweet! Mucho better! :dblthumb2:

BTW, what is Meguiar's Cut and Cream? I've never heard of that. You don't mean the D151 Paint Reconditioning Cream?

I believe it's this:
Meguiars Solo Cut & Polish Cream #86, meguiars Professional polish, one liquid system, meguiars M86, meguiars 86 (http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-solo-cut---polish-cream-86.html)

I believe D151 works in the same way, but is an All-in-one (cut, polish, wax) instead of the Solo (cut and polish only). He applied BFWD after so I'm assuming the Solo is what he used. I'm kind of interested in using this Solo because I don't like the "wax" of the D151. I like applying my own waxes...but it does have its place on my parents DD's!

Gotcha. I'm not really that familiar with the Solo products. Looks like it finished out nicely.

Yeah the Cut & Cream is great for a havy cutting AIO that can also finish down.

Vey Nice

Thanks!
