I was just wondering if anyone can suggest a good backing plate other then the stock one for the flex DA? My stock one is starting to melt so it's time for an upgrade! So far in my search I've only found ones specifically for the Porter Cable :p

Thanks everyone :dblthumb2:

The replacement Flex Backing Plate would be the only one that would work for the machine. Might be time to place a new order :dblthumb2:

Flex XC 3401 VRG 6 inch Backing Plate (http://www.autogeek.net/flex-xc-3401-vrg-6-inch-backing-plate.html)

That's your only option for now ^^

Thanks guys, that's kind of what I thought I'd hear. Hopefully 3M comes out with something for the flex :)

the was a Flex/Edge adapter also, but limited.

Edge FLEX XC 3401 Conversion Adapter, Edge Pads adapter for FLEX Orbital Buffer, 3M Edge 2000 Adapter (http://www.autogeek.net/edge-flex-buffer-adapter.html)

I'm pretty happy with the flex/Edge adapter and the pads that Edge offers.
