Got this lovely lipstick mark on the driver side fold down sun visor. It runs from the warning label and extends about 2 inches onto the felt. Does anyone have any idea on how I can remove this ?

You have already tried upholstery cleaner??

No, I have not touched it yet - given how lipstick can smear easily and I thought I would get the forum's recommendation before I attack it this weekend.

What upholstery cleaner would be recommended, or if there is anything in the house I can use in it's place ?

Of course I'd like to hear how lipstick got on your sunvisor but....

Anyway, what is your sunvisor made of? Hard plastic? Vinyl? Cloth?

I'd start with something easy like Lysol or Simple Green. If that doesn't work then try some Goof-Off.

Paint thinner, acetone, MEK? That stuff will melt plastic but it will also remove the lipstick. :D

treat it like grease or wax .... Id try a damp towel with some Woolite first. Move to magic eraser as needed.
