What size & brand tents any of you mobile guys are using?
I went out yesterday for the first time & i couldn't find anywhere to setup due to the lack of shade. I was looking for trees all over the area to setup but realize i need a tent.

I would think 10x20 would be the smallest you would want.

Yeah, the 10x10 was waaay out of the question. I saw a few @ the local Pep Boys but they where too heavy. Im not tryn to set up a house,i need something(blue) lightweight & sturdy.

My 12x12 is a little to short. I have to attach tarps and tie them off to add on to it. A 12x15 would have done it.

I got mine at Sports Authority along with the weights to hold it down on concrete for less than 100.00 total. I do believe its 12x12 but could go a little longer if had to choose again.

I found a link to this some where online. I think it was Autopia.org. There was a review on it I think. I'd love to pick one up.

NEW 10x15 4 Wall Pop Up Canopy Party Tent Gazebo EZ W/O - eBay (item 200477156067 end time Jun-26-10 17:13:16 PDT) (http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-10x15-4-Wall-Pop-Up-Canopy-Party-Tent-Gazebo-EZ-W-O-/200477156067?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ead5ea2e3)

This is a 10x15 but they also sell 10x20s too.

The best shelter that I ever saw was 20X20 foot. That way the car could be in the middle of the shade and stay in the shade all day. Yes, it was very expensive and built to last a lifetime. I saw it on the salt flats at Bonneville about twenty years ago and the same family it still using it today. They stake it into the ground with 8 - three foot long screws. Even in 60 mph gusts it doesn't pull out.

Use 2 10x12 tents with the 10 ft sides together works perfect for a car

How portable is that tent, really? It looks like it'd be a beast to set up and take down...

Thats what I was thinking lol. I too wouldnt mind getting a tent but I want somethign thats easy up/ easy down and easy to haul (doesnt take up a lot of space).

Can you guys set up the tents you posted all by yourself or is it a two person thing? How long does it take?

The tent I posted is a one man job. If I remember correctly it only took him 15 mins on the second go at it. There's a review about it on Autopia.org Head over there and do a search. It's quite a detailed review.

I meant 12ft sides together for a 12x20 area

 i guess i didn't really think about it being easily "portable" ...i have yet to take it out of the box and put it together...i am just excited that it has windows, and i can put it in front of the garage, and open both ends to drive through...the sides come off for an open air type of deal...it was such a great price, and that company has several different options as far as size and style...maybe worth checking out thier ebay store...it's probably pretty obvious who hasn't been around for a while :)

I just read the review and from what I got of it was, it is cheaply made and poor quality.
