I am about to do my car tonight and I don't know what to use.

I have the following products:

105,205,7 glaze, PowerLock, MaxWax

Now, I know I am going to use 105 and then 205 (I wish I had something after 205 that cuts, but I dont). Then I know I am going to use PowerLock and then MaxWax.

My main question is, should I even both using megs 7 glaze or no? If I do use it I would assume that I would use it after 205 and before Powerlock?

Also, Since I don't have anything less abrasive than 205 would 205 on a black pad or maybe scratchX original suffice to minimize hazing?

Any suggestions would be nice.

Thanks.

There's really no need for #7 before or after M205...

Have you already tested the M205?

powerlock won't bond to 7 well, 7 is oily and can be used before a nuba, but I wouldn't use it before a sealant. If you do decide to use it, its going to be after 205 as a final step before nuba; kinda unnecessary because 205 leaves the paint great.

I have and this is my first time doing this so I think 205 should be fine, but I still see some micro scratches. I tried 205 with the white pad and then the black to see if it did anything. I'm not so sure it did. I just heard that honda's paint is very soft and Matt at autogeek has a honda and said he using 3M ultrafine after 205.

I thought you were suppose to put the glaze first then a sealant like NTX Tech Wax 2.0. I thought that 7 is a pure polish with zero cut as well. It doesn't matter I guess I will just do 105,.205,PowerLock, Maxwax :)

Sounds like a good plan to me. :)

You may not be able to finish narr free with 205 if your paint is soft. I see no point using glaze unless you have a show car. JMO. :xyxthumbs:

If not, you can always try Menzerna 85rd the next time around. Soft paint is a PAIN to finish with, especially cause I'm not heavily experienced.

Yes, PO85rd on a gray CCS pad would work great if M205 didn't finish out perfect for some reason. See this thread: Holograms on the Merc!! - Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42243). Not saying M205 won't finish out beautifully - it really just depends on the paint. Do your test spot first and go from there.

Yea, I know Matt from AG has a Honda which is the make I have and he said that his paint didn't like 85RD so he used 3m Ultrafina instead..hmm

I don't have a gray pad, do you mean black? I guess so haha.

I'll be doing the exact combo as you are...105/205/85RD but I will be following up with DP Poli Coat and then Natty's Blue :xyxthumbs:
