hey everyone. i recently bought a portercable 7424 package that came with pads and pad cleaner. i just need opinions on what wax/polish setup. i have a bright red 2002 pontiac grand prix. it is severely sun faded and has loads of swirl marks in the clear coat. i figure i wanna spend like $100-$150 on this. i really want a good result seeing as it has a freshly painted front bumper and the rear is getting sprayed, plus has new projector headlights. what do you recommend? and in what order and what type of pad for each step? thank you

What package did you get?

From the most to least cut in LC pads are Yellow, Orange, White, Black, Blue.

Typically, you use your cutting compound with yellow, orange or even white. Then wax/sealants glaze, with black blue.

Do you wan to spend $100 -$150 on wax or what?

i forgot what package my gf bought me for xmas but it came with pc 7424 all different types of lake county pads and 2 bottles of xt spray or something. but i figure spend 100 -150 on polish/wax. i was thinking of doing

1. wash
2.clay
3. apply Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 on ORANGE pad
4. apply Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0 on WHITE pad
5. top it off with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant on a BLUE finessing pad

ive never waxed or polished so this is new to me. that seem like a good procedure?
