would appreciate some input on getting started with detailing, as have always done everything by hand ( prewax cleaner and waxing), but now realize its too difficult to remove swirls, etc. this way. so am considering purchasing the following:
1. porter cable 7424 xp
2. 3.5 and 5 inch backing plates
3. lc ccs 5 inch pads ( 4 orange, 4 white, 2 gray, and 2 red)
4. wg 3.0 swirl remover and finishing glaze
5. dp pad rejuvenator
6. foam pad brush
7. cobra 500 m.f. towels to remove polish, wax, sealants
8. wg sealant
9. 303 protectant
10. einzert rubber stick

i have some 4 inch pads to use with the 3.5 backing plate. hope this will be adequate to get started. thanks for any input.

That's fine I suppose, I would recommend more Meguiars products though, the detailer line is a great value. Their polishes are impeccable, waxes and sealants all easy to use, matter of fact, all their products are very user friendly, and after 7 years, I have gone back to using many Megs products as my go to's. I'm sure others have too.
