which of these is more widely used, seems like they are both good products from what ive read on this forum. am considering purchasing a porter cable and 5.5 inch flat pads to remove swirls on a new lexus and a 3yr old white truck. naturally, the truck seems to have more and deeper swirls.

M105 is not in the same class as 3.0, M205 would be closer and more widely used by a HUGE margin. I'm not saying 205 is better as I use both and really like the results I am getting from 3.0

You mean SR3.0 is not in the same class as 105. M105 is probably the most abrasive polish/compound there it right now and is the high majority of people's "go to polish".

I would get M105 and M205 in a heart beat.

Actually the most abrasive are MPG and Megs Speedcut.

Here's a chart from AG store. - Autogeek Swirl Removers & Compounds Comparison Chart (http://www.auto-geek.net/charts/wax-cut-chart-master.htm)

Yes, but they both have a 12 on the Meguiar's scale so I don't know. It doesn't really matter. I wouldn't be 95 anyway since M105 finishes better since it's a SMAT. I don't think you will ever find any BSD's that are removed with 95 that won't be removed with 105 :)

I meant just what I said which is the same thing you just said other then he is talking about wg 3.0 not ssr3 (guessing that's your meaning of sr3.0).

:iagree: Just wanted to say there were products a step more aggresive.

Now i'm confused. :dunno:

dont think you are making sense. The only thing that Wolfgang has that is 3.0, is total swirl remover, finishig glaze and deep gloss paint sealant. WG 3.0 would include all those products and not a specific one.

The only think that could possibly compare to m105 as a cutting compound is total swirl remover which, in my opinion, is not as good as 105.

I think both of you are not talking about the same product...i'm guessing PB SSR3 and WGTSR?

Yea that's probably it. I don't know where poorboya got in there.

I just didn't add the t is tsr.

Anywho, for a combo I would recommend m105 & m205. :)

Ohhhhh. I read it again and by class you mean same cut. I thought you meant it was better than m105 that's why I said you meant wg is not in the same class as m105. ...I hope I got it right lol.

The wolfgang TSR is a great product and I like it a lot. I just recently tried the 105 and it cuts like nobody's business and leaves an impressive finish for how quickly it cuts. Not to say you won't have to use another polish after it. If you want to remove scratches fast then 105 is the way to go. What you are working on and what you plan on using as your finishing polish may have something to do with your choice for correction polish.

There are three polish systems that work well, and no issue using any of them.

Menzerna SIP and Nano --- diminishing abrasives, ceramiclear technology
Wolfgang TSR and FG 3.0 -- diminishing abrasives, ceramiclear tech
Megs 105/205 --- non-diminishing abrasives, SMAT technology

I'm talking about the product that the OP asked about... Why is that so hard to understand :dunno:

The OP asked about the Wolfgang Duo (http://www.autogeek.net/wolfgangduokit.html) (aka wg3.0) and the Meg Duo.

Exactly my point! I'm confused cause the next post was about PB.
