Hey guys new to the forum. The whole autogeek site looks great and has great deals on the porter cable

Anyhow im looking at getting a porter cable 7424 this will be my first one and i plan to purchase it from here along with some of the klasse aio and the sealent glaze and probably top it off with some p21s

Im a zaino user and looking for a new alternative. the zaino stuff is great but ive been using it by hand and well after a while it just gets tiresome.

I have a 1991 Silver Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo. I know silver is kinda a hard color to get that super wet bright and shiney look.

My question is does the Klasse kit provide a really great polish and wet look?

and what other products should i use first to remove the swirls and what not if there are any. I was going to look into the sonus stuff but every site has different products. Any help would be great

so far im looking at a new
1. Car wash product
2. Clay bar ( i have the zaino clay kit right now)
3. the polish or light swirl removers

or whatever. Im still new to this other process so help would be great.

I do plan to buy most of the stuff from here pretty soon. I already just bought a dual halogen light from sears to light up the paint wich i havent done before.

Thanks guys
Here is a picture of my z the last time i detailed it with zaino and toped it with p21s

First off, your '91 300Z looks very nice. How many miles?

There are many, many choices in products and the Klasse Twins are very good, but for the money and ease of use I'd look at the Duragloss line.

I use their QD (Clean&Shine) and the Aquawax frequently. The Aquawax is a great maintenance topper and applies like a QD. Clean&Shine can remove light dirt and gloss up the surface.

DGs Bonding Agent (#111) and their Performance Polish (#105) are close to "Z" in look and can be easily applied with the PC.

For a precleaner/light swirl remover, Optimum's Polish is a good choice (and economical)....but there are many, many other products that are very good and I'm sure others will give more options.

Thanks Waxmax yea im probably going to stick with the Klasse Twins and just incorporate some other stuff into the mix.

The Z just turned over 80k miles on it. original paint and all

More inputs are welcome and glad to be here Thanks! :D

Do a search for silver, especially in the Show n Shine, to see what others use for that color. I know I've seen a few products mentioned that seem to work well.

Klasse Twins are a nice combo with durability matching Zaino. That said for gloss look to the DP Shield Shine new formula or Duragloss. Now wetness has no equal ... you will need a carnauba wax like Pinnacles Sig Series II.

Im going to recommend the duragloss treatment for silver. Duragloss really can make the flake pop and add deph and wetness to the silver.

Duragloss bonding agent.
Let the bonding agent haze, then apply 105 on top of the hazed bonding agent. i would go for another layer about 10 hrs apart.
top with aquawax.

I promise you wont be dissapointed.

And as far as polish, look at Pinnacle XMT 2 and 1 for light polishes and Optimum Compound / Optimum Polish.

Very nice 300ZX.
Here is what I would get:
1) Car wash product - get a foam gun if you don't have one. as far as soap - Poorboy's SS&S (http://autogeek.net/pbss32.html), DP Xtreme foam formula (http://autogeek.net/foam-gun-soap.html), Optimum (http://autogeek.net/optimum-car-wash.html)are very nice.

2) Clay bar - I really like Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay with Pinnacle Clay lube (http://autogeek.net/piulpoclkit.html).

3) Polishes/Swirl removers - Poorboy's SSR-series (http://autogeek.net/pbsr.html), or Pinnacle XMT-series.

I have not used ANY Duragloss products, so I cannot speak for them.

Sweet Z!
Klasse Twins top with Liquid Souveran, Awesome wetness!

Just started playing with DG, so far its awesome stuff too. Like ryandamartini said you wont be disappointed.

Polish, check out the XMT line, less dust then Megs.

Here some link I used DG on.
