this weekend im going to clean my diesel engine with total autowash.. and i want to treat it with a nice dressing afterwords.. here is what i have.. optimum tire dressing origanal dressing .adams undercarrage spray . swissvax pnue/ and stoners more shime less time arosol spray.. i think its a silicone product si i really dont want that greesy look..i heard that ifi use a water based product like optimum i should cut it 1 to 1with water then spray on motor while wet. then run the engine till hot ...is this the way to go? i dont want to buy anymore dressings i just want to use what i have.. any sugestions would be great..thanks

I would use a water based dressing, i love meguiars hyper dressing on engines. But if you dont want to buy anymore use the wb dressing you have.

I always suggest Klasse AIO on painted parts (removes water spots and protects) and 303 Protectant on all plastic and rubber. I find a water based dressing does not gather the dust and dirt as quickly as a silicone based product.

Also Adam does not reccomend their UCS around engines.

oh ok thanks for the tip .. ill probably go with optimum cut 1 to 1 with water .. i love water based products.. i dont want anything slimy on my diesel motor.. it atracts enough dirt as it is .... thanks again guys ..:xyxthumbs:

Hyper Dressing diluted 4:1, or Aerospace 303.
