Haven't posted at all here mostly because i'm not as knowledgeable... mostly been looking through thread piecing together a cart and have narrowed it down to a few items. Need some opinions first...My car is a 04 Grand Prix. Color is sports red w/ metallic. It's my DD so I need something that will last. I don't mind waxing every few weeks or so. Also want something to pop the metallic. Quick pic at the bottom for reference to car. Budget is moderate don't want to spend to must.

Selant
- Dp poli coat

Paint correction.
-Meg 105/205

Wax
- I plan on doing 1-2 layers of Poorboy's World Natty’s Paste Wax – BLUE (http://www.autogeek.net/nattys-blue.html)
- Apply 2 coats of Collinite Liquid Insulator Wax #845 FREE BONUS (http://www.autogeek.net/collinite-insulator-wax-845.html)
any other recommendations

Wash...undecided
-DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss (http://www.autogeek.net/dp-rinseless-four-in-one.html)
or
-Meguiars NXT Generation Car Wash (http://www.autogeek.net/mg12664.html)
-Meguiar’s Shampoo Plus, 1 Gallon (http://www.autogeek.net/mg11101.html)

Glass
_Stoner Invisible Glass Aerosol Can (http://www.autogeek.net/stoninglas.html)

Would it be good to apply natty's than top off w/ collinite
Feed back please

Dp Extreme Foam Formula would be a good alternative to your shampoo since it's on BOGO (buy one get one).

You have two sealants on your list - Insulator and Poli-Coat. But i'd go with Klasse if you really want something that will last. And you'd want to top the sealant with a wax not the other way around. You want the more durable product underneath.

As far as wax goes, i'd choose DP Maxwax over Natty's but that's just me, and killr recommends Dodo juice hard candy for metallic finishes.

Good luck on your decision!

Autoglym HD is a very good wax.

If I were using your list, I'd go with DP Poli Coat sealant topped with Poorboys nattys blue carnauba wax. These products are not expensive, yet highly effective. :xyxthumbs:

If you're planning on a Poorboy's wax, Natty's Red for your color. Difference in price is like $2 IIRC. Autoglym HD is one of my favorites also now that it's OTC and lost a lot of it's pricetag. Try Optimum Car Wash as well.

natty's red was designed for all colors, while blue was designed for darker colors. Either will work.

For the metallic paint you could also consider one of the sealants.

Nice GP btw. I used to have a 2005 GTP.

For some reason dodo hard candy has come up several times so that may be my best best unless natty's is better. Oh and I heard about klasse but heard if not put on right it's a pain.

Dodo hard candy is more expensive, but good stuff. Nattys is a great bang fort the buck. I'm not a fan of topping different brands. I don't like mixing and matching. I think it's better to put 2 coats of the same brand. JMO. :dblthumb2:

I have both Natty's blue and red love them both. But for your needs, I recommend DP Maxwax it'll help bridge that color requirement based on wax, plus it's an amazing wax on any color .:xyxthumbs:
