Hey guys,

I am gonna work on my fiancee's mom's 2000 Mazda Miata this weekend. You know, the kind with the horribly dingy yellow "clear" vinyl windows.

Does anyone know how to clean these things or get them back to being clear again. Any previous threads or video would help.

Thanks!

Depend on the your time frame . You can try a couple things if you can place a order ragg topp makes outstanding products for the window & Top. I have read that you can use plastix but I have tried . I did a 2005 Jeep Rubicon last week Vinyl top & Windows were a mess . I was a last minute job so i couldn't get the Ragg topp line . Look up on bing for a clean process . 303 top cleaner & protect for the Top & Plexus for the Windows awesome product but the windows need a little more to clean them. Went to West marine & p/u Imar clear viynl window cleaner work well the windows weren't perfect but you could actually see out them when it was done.

LOL Steven

Thanks loudog,

Do you know of any good OTC solutions? I am supposed to do the windows this week (Mother's Day).

Thanks

I've used regular polishes on a orange pad to do headlights. I haven't done convertible windows though.

Cool, I have a couple different paint polishes. Can you help me choose the best candidate:

-TSR
-FG
-Meg's105
-Meg's 151
-PB SSR3

Maybe I can go to an auto parts store for some plastic cleaner and use a paint polish?

Have any ideas on what I can use as a protectant?

If you were going to give it a try, I would start with the least aggressive. Those windows are softer than headlights. Try the FG with various pads on a small section to se how it works. As for protectant, I use the DP plex-all.
