I think that should do the trick. I'd personally go with white on 205 over black/grey on 205. just my opinion though. Try it out and let us know. Good luck.

Do a Test Spot and make sure you're getting the results you want and hope for.

Tape-off the gasket surrounding your sun roof so you don't cream it out with compound and polish, tape off anything that's Pebble Textured Black Plastic.

I finally tackled this project. There were many areas I needed to tape. It took me around 7-8 hrs total. Some of the spider-webbing was corrected. The paint has more depth and shine/gloss has been restored.I used the 205/105 combo with orange and white pads.

There are stray scratch marks (not deep) and various markings that were not corrected.

On the hood there was a small dot that is a peach/tan color. It looks like sap or something of that sort. After everything it still remains, I wonder if thats the primer, and it was chipped maybe?

There are also markings that look like water spots or blemishes. (I did clay bar the entire car)

Any ideas to correct the water spot looking markings?
What would be the next step in correcting these things?
Or is it possible I did not use the 205/105 to the true potential?

With the spot on the hood...when you run your finger nail over it does it feel like a chip or does it feel like there is something ON TOP of the paint?

If it feels like a chip..id say its probably primer...if you feel it on top of the paint it could be sap or if something hit it it could be paint transfer from whatever hit it. HOPEFULLY its something on top (pictures would help..). If it is, maybe try some aggressive clay..or whatever clay you were using and just rub it a lot harder to see if it starts to give.

If you're seeing waterspot markings after claying its probably etched into the paint so clay wouldnt remove it...as it is actually now below the surface. If thats the case, if you have any 4" pads break out an orange and 105 and try to attack those specific spots and see if you have any luck. Just make sure you're using a good amount of pressure...just not so much so that you stop the pad from turning...if you havent already...use a felt tip pen to mark your backing plate so you can see if its turning or not under pressure, if it isnt...then lighten up a little bit. I'm assuming of course you're using a DA (like a PC,Griots Garage,Flex etc)...

hope that helps some...as i said above thou, pictures would help of these specific spots:Picture:
