Ironic that you mentioned these shows. I was speaking to my father today and we were comparing notes on American Pickers and Pawn stars. These are definitely up there right now. I would also add Rescue Me, Sons of Anarchy, and Spartacus Blood and Sand.

Top Gear, Kitchen Nightmares, and... How I Met Your Mother/ House (those aren't cable but wow those are great shows!)

Oh and almost anything on Speed, especially circuit racing and rally.
