This if my first time attaching pics..so hope I get this right. I buffed out my friends 2000 F150 last week. It had some severe oxidation. This was my first real test with my new flex 3401. Only been detailing for about a yr. now, and most of the cars are all fairly new with minor swirls and scratches. There were still a few scatches I coulndt get out, and some pitting in the paint, but all in all I think it came out pretty good. My buddy was happy with it. I used Meg. UC/ yellow pad, then WFG swirl remover 3.0/ orange pad and then 3M glaze/ white pad. I welcome any suggetions on what I may have done wrong or could improve on. Thanks guys.

Looks good, that was like you said, severe oxidation considering it's a clear coat finish... how did the owner treat, or mis-treat the truck so that it could get that bad?

Also, if you want to learn how to "Insert" and image, instead of just attaching tiny thumbnails I cover most of what's required in collection of tutorials in the link below...

How-to work with pictures on discussion forums (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-articles-discussion-forums/21320-how-work-pictures-discussion-forums.html)

I put a lot of pictures onto the Internet, I actually don't know anyone that renames, crops, resizes, uploads and inserts more pictures... at least no one in the car detailing world comes to mind...

It's not that hard to do... in fact using two of the articles in the link above I just downloaded one of your "attachments", then uploaded it into your very own gallery here on AGO

Here it is "inserted"

Thanks alot guys..It was sad to see the neglect my buddy put his truck through. Needless to say, it sat out in the sun 24/7 and he never waxed it. Living in South Louisiana doesnt help much either. Thanks for the tips on downloading the tips Mike. Nice H-D truck you have there Merlin...smoooooooooth !!!!

Since this truck had such bad oxidation...has the paint been permanently damanged?..and will it start to fade again soon if not kept waxed regularly?
