Hello,

I have this 2007 Mustang GT. The color is Vista Blue Metallic. The stripes are painted on (two stage) in a flat white color. The paint is in excellent condition and I have clayed it as recent as last fall. The car is stored inside and under cover.

I was hoping the members here could recommend to me their top 2 picks in each category:

Wax?
Sealant?
Quick Detailer?
Liquid Spray Wax?
Microfiber brand?
Selection of pads for using Megs 205 and whichever wax and sealant I decide on (I have a Griot's 6" RO)?

My personal thoughts from reading through the forums would be Max Wax or PB's Natty's Paste Wax (Blue).

I have used the Griot's Speed Shine and like it.

The rest I don't have any idea on yet.

A big thanks in advance :props:

Beautiful car man. Ive got an S197 myself.

My recommendations:

Wax - Dodo Juice Supernatural, Auto Glym HD
Sealant - Menzerna Power Lock, Optimum Opti-Seal
QD - FK425, ONR
Spray Wax - Optimum Car Wax
Microfiber - Chemical Guys "house brand", Cobra
Pads - LC flats, Orange/Whites (or Cyan/Tangerine in Hydro Tech), Blue or Red for sealant application.

Nice Stang. Vista Blue was going to be my second choice had I not gotten the White one.

I love Pinnacle SSII paste, Megs #26 liquid
Sealant - WG DGPS 3.0 for looks, Griots PS for longevity.
QD - GG Speed Shine is my go to, I also like FK425.
Spray Wax - Griots Spray on Wax.
MF - Griots. I have not used many Cobras. The few I have used were the cheap ones and I was not impressed. I am sure the better ones are nice.

Pads. Like Irish said.

Now go place your order and get that beauty shined up. Be sure to tape textured plastic. IT is a bear to get polish off of.

+1

The trim around our windows is especially gnarly.

Natty's Red
DP Poli-Coat Paint Sealant
FK425
Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Spray Wax
Cobra Microfiber
LC Orange/White try the white first (apply and remove the wax by hand).

Thank you for the replies so far. There is a lot of information on this website so I am still navigating my way through it all.

I have a 2007 GT in vista blue

Waxs - Souveran or nattys blue (doesnt last as long as souveran IMO)
Sealant- Duragloss 105
Liquid Wax- Duragloss Aquawax
Pads - Orange and white CCS 6.5s or 5 or so inch orange pad for hard cutting.
I use the Menzerna Nano/SIP combo, works awesome

When choosing wax or sealant, I decide what I want first. using both for some time now, I choose Duragloss for a Slick wet look that lasts LONG. When I want the metallic to pop (going to a meet or something) I will throw some Souveran on it and some Aquawax over it.
