So I've heard using a new, fresh pad each panel after compounding is good.
I've also heard, priming the pad, polish the panel, clean the pad on the fly and re use again as a "fresh pad" is also good.

Or maybe both?

Priming the pad on a fresh pad after each panel seems to be using a little too much product?

You can clean your pad as you go to a certain extent...using a foam pad conditioning brush helps a lot, but at some point you'll still need a fresh pad. How many depends on what products you're using.

So using a fresh pad after each panel, do I still need to prime em?

You shouldn't need a new pad for every panel....

You don't "need" to prime the pad at all. Most people out there don't prime the pads.
