What is the best product to use to prevent sling off for tires? Most shine and long lasting. I tried one gel from here but there was a little slong off after I wiped off the excess. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Its quite hard to really come up with a great answer, many water based dressings will wash off in heavy rain and puddles. Optibond and Poorboys Bright/Bold do. Heavier GEL's and Silicone based dressings dont always seem to dry completely and can spit on paint and does not necessarily equate to longer protection just glossier or wetter. Griots makes a Weatherproof Tire Dressing but more like a dye and more matte in appearance. Guess you could say ... Im still looking !

I'm just a weekend guy on my own daily drivers.

I use old school original Armor All. I spray onto appliator and apply liberally (leaving heavy amounds all over the tire), let it sit for about 15 minutes, then wipe clean. Before I move the car, I wipe down with one last clean rag.

My tires usually have a nice clean look to them and it lasts through some rain.

My DP tire Gel was applied yesterday (one coat) and driven roughly 2-3 hours later. There was no sling, and the semi gloss look still looks as fresh as it did yesterday. Not saying its the best, but definitely works well for me.

Higher shine = Stoner More Shine Less Time (let it sit, or pat buff/dry if you need to drive immediately)

Lower sheen = Adam's VRT or the like

I personally like PB Bold n Bright. I have it on the wife's DD for about a week now. 100% no sling off, still glossy. IMO, it lasts just as long as the gels like Pinnacle/WG, but I get the benefit of no sling off! The only con that I have is that I think it is not as extremely glossy as the aforementioned gels. But honestly, I think at times the extreme gloss gels look "fake". I am now almost preferring PB's gloss.

Here's a link to the thread I started on PB BB

I've been using Adams VRT on my tires. I prefer a clean low sheen look on tires so it's perfect for what I'm after.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170402/de03f30e8061e08be6441ee26cdb1005.jpg
