I prefer to apply wax/sealant by hand and use a combination of CCS Euro pads and the round little AG foam pads. I let them soak in water for a few days after use and then I use the brush and XMT pad cleaner but every time I squeeze one of those pads more sealant comes out of them. It's like I'll never get them cleaned. Any tips or tricks for this?

i prefer scrap all the wax from the foam.. sealed them in a ziplock bag and one applicator for each sealant or wax...that should help...

So are you saying that you just let the applicator dry with wax still inside? I guess that's okay when you're using one applicator per wax/sealant.

Try to use a dedicated applicator to avoid cross contamination.

i dont think it really matters about cross contamination with wax

Clean them with Megs APC+ diluted around 6:1, follow with your regular pad cleaner if necessary or desired. Then machine wash with your wax removal towels. Keep these wash loads separate from drying towels at all costs.

I use Dawn Dissolve to clean the pads and then let them air dry. It does a great job in cutting the sealant and wax and return to like new shape. I store them in a ziplock bag.

Never thought of using Dawn Dissolve......I'm going to try that. Thanks.
