Meguiar's Headlight Restoration kit drill accessory

OK, my question is, how do you clean the drill accessory that comes with the Meguiar's consumer Headlight Restoration kit to make it like new again? I've just sprayed mine with a little APC and then hosed it down and let it dry, but that doesn't make it like new again. Any suggestions?

I don't recall ever hearing an official recommendation from Meguiar's, unless I missed something or I'm forgetting something.
