I was doing some research on the proper technique for M105/205 and ran across this (http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/17279-presidential-detailed-can-you-say-kevin-brown-method.html) post by the Pres. The post suggests that M205 only plays well with Megs finishing pads. I am wondering if anyone else has had this experience or if Pres can offer further insight.

The reason I am asking is because my cart is loaded and ready to go (waiting for a decent sale) with M105/205, Griots DA, and several LC pads. I am a little nervous about making the jump to M105/205 in the first place....been using WGTSR. I dont want to induce holograms or swirls just because I am using bad technique or the incorrect equipment.

Thanks for your help!

I have had no problems using LC CCS pads with both 105 and 205. I will say that I have had much better luck using Ultimate Compound over the 105. It works just as well but with less dusting.

Nah, that's not the case at all. I use 205 with many different LC pads. Works pretty well as a one step with Orange/Cyan pads on lighter colored cars on down to a true finishing polish with Black flat pads.

It's a great product. Don't be afraid to experiment with it a little.

Asphalt Rocket is great with the 105/205 combo and I believe he uses a white LCC Kompressor pad with the 205. He usually uses wool with the 105 too I think.

I've been using 105/205 with 3m pads for a while and have been able to achieve great results. The 3m ultrafine pad with 205 is awesome on a rotary, finishes swirl free. So 105/205 work well with any good pad providing that the user knows what he/she is doing.
