Pinnacle Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad (http://www.autogeek.net/pinsafscrub.html)

Just got my BOGO of these today, are these things really safe for the paint? They seem awful rough.

same here. I'm afraid to put it anywhere near my paint, but i'll soak it in the bucket tonight while I wash(it finally stopped raining in the northeast) and try it.

Well since you have the guts, please let me know how it turns out.

I'm guessing the product description was written by Max, seeing as how he mentions his '64 Ford Falcon: Pinnacle Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad can be used on glass, chrome, vinyl, fiberglass, paint and clearcoats—100% safe when used with soapy water. (http://www.autogeek.net/pinsafscrub.html). Seeing as how Max trusts it, I would assume it is very safe. And Meghan used it in this thread on her 300: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/show-n-shine/18657-got-love-bugs.html.

Used it on my JB BMW

Just make sure you soak it well, and it will be fine. Don;t use pressure, just glide it like clay.

It's really great actually! After you put it in water you'll see. I've used it and never gotten a scratch. And it really removes stuff well. Made my tarminator almost obsolete.

I use mine all the time during the summer. Just keep it nice and sudsy and as others have mentioned just let it glide across the surface.

You should only use enough pressure to keep it in contact with the surface.

Had a chance to use it today on a car that had MAJOR bugs on the front and it worked great!!! Not one scratch and very little effort to remove the bugs.
