we should have a detailing faq, or some type of sticky of "do's and don'ts", detailing myths, tips and tricks etc.
this would be good for both novice and professional.
we could even make it brand specific or whatnot. or combos...
anyone wanna start one?

:)

http://www.autogeek.net/detailingtips.htmlcool and all, but how about a forum sticky?
yeah, i know the store and forum go hand in hand, but what about user tips?
you know, like what works for some, or what doesn't.
something with "community" input would be cool.
one source is nice, but sometimes you just wanna know what your neighbors are doing.

I don't know how well that would work though. I know that I for one change around alot of my product usage. Some days I go for wetness, others I go for paint brightness. maybe it's a glossy tire dressing mood im in, or possibly a matte finish...

the current detailing tips page has alot of the information that your looking for anyways :-D I'd recommend it to anyone that is looking for some quick pointers.

Well, I have these myths (http://www.ocdetails.com/html/myths.html) and some frequently asked questions (http://www.ocdetails.com/html/faq.html) on my site here. Would something like that be a good start? I could cut and paste them into a thread and we could build on it from there.

i thought it would be cool to see what the rest of the country/world is doing, and to have input from various forum members.

a definitive source is always handy, but c'mon guys, this is a forum.
let's have some fun.

but that's the beauty of it!
i really wasn't looking for "instructions", cause i could just google that.
but i have NO CLUE as to how you detail.
are you more efficient than me? i dunno.
do other ppl know things that you don't? who knows?
but if we had a point of reference thread it might be fun to read, maybe even a little informative.
