Great site...First post.

Here is a shot of my problem. I get these scuff marks in the gelcoat of my skiff from the carpeted bunk boards on my trailer.
They're fairly mild scuff marks and you can't even catch a fingernail on them.
I'm looking for suggestions on the best product/method to remove them. They look worse in person than in this pic.
I have a PC2474 with pads on order which should ship tomorrow.
The only products I currently have are Finesse-It-II and Collinite 885 Fleetwax paste. I'm guessing a compound should remove the scuffs?

Of course, I'll try my best to determine why I'm getting the scuffing and eliminate the problem. They appear to be the area of the boat that first contacts the bunks when I rope the boat back onto the trailer. I never power on unless absolutely necessary.
I'm thinking about making new bunk boards and rounding the inside edges and then padding those edges before applying fresh bunk carpet. I'll then spray the new bunks with silicone to help the boat glide on and reduce friction.
I appreciate any help you all can offer.
Thanks
Kurt~

I'd give this stuff a try.

Meguiar's Direct Mirror Glaze HD Oxidation Remover (http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/product_detail.asp?T1=MEG+GLAZE+1)

or this if the #49 doesn't work
Meguiar's Direct One-Step Compound (http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/product_detail.asp?T1=MEG+M6732)

I was able to find these locally last year at an auto part store too.

Thanks for the info.
I'll give the one-step a try.
