I purchased a Griots RO last year and used it for applying wax. This spring I really want to get some polishes and go to down on my paint. I've been looking at a ton of polishes and have no clue. It's getting frustrating! I'm sure this question has been asked tons of times but what polishes/pad combos do you guys recommend? I own a '04 350Z that's my DD with the usual swirl marks from drying and some water spots here and there. I was looking at the XMT, Menzerna, Poor Boys and possibly Griots? Any and all suggestions would be great!

megs 105/205 combo with some ccs pads (cutting, med polish, light polish, finishing)

That combo always works for me, I havent used the griots RO but my flex takes stuff right out with the two and makes paint look amazing.

You will want to try the 205 first with the light pad and if the paint defects arent removed use the med polish pad, still not working try the 105 with cutting and it will get rid of just about any problem. Works fast, and doesnt have to broken down to be effective.

Thats my combo of choice due to the ease of use and the SMAT system.

It can be confusing because there are not only a lot of product to choose from but with good technique you can get great results from all of them...

Read through this entire thread, it shows a car like your with horrible rotary buffer swirls and the forum member documents his project from start to finish with show car results..

Out of curiosity, do you have the "new" version Griot's polisher?

Griot's Garage 6 inch Random Orbital Polisher, Dual action buffer, DA polisher (http://www.autogeek.net/griots-random-orbital-polisher.html)
