I use a Boars Hair brush and have had no problems.

Ok Billbo, I have just the article you need to read. Courtesy of Mike Phillips. Just scroll down a bit and you'll get to the part where he lists each type of wash media.

Personally I use the MF wash mitts and have for a long time but I think I am looking to try the Lake Country Foam Car Wash Sponge also known as the Big Blue Cube (http://www.autogeek.net/car-wash-sponge.html). Reason being is I am not sure if those tiny particles I can't see ever come out of the mf. The mf is so grabby it seems logical that the grit could get stuck in there.

I use a boars hair brush. I shake the brush in the water and that allows the particles to fall out of the brush. Then I wipe the brush over a cleaning grid to knock anything else off. Currently using a bucket with a cleaning grid in it. Will be going to the 2 bucket method soon, but, will stick to the boars hair.

I prefer a quality natural sheepskin wash mitt such as the GS-50.
Sheepskin Wash Mitt (http://www.autogeek.net/sheepwas.html)

I just started using the Dodo juice's Wookie and absolutely LOVE it (WOW)!!!
Sheepskin wash mitt, Supernatural Wash Mitt, The Wookie mitt, wool wash mitt (http://www.autogeek.net/supernatural-wash-mitt.html)

(Many will say they don't wear well, and it is true that the natural fibers will wear out quicker, but if properly maintained; I have a GS-50 that has lasted all last summer using it once per week for sevral months and it is still going strong.) Just be sure to gently squeeze all excess water out, turn it inside out and gently squeeze excess water out again and hang it up to dry...They are so soft and luxurious (and the long natural fibers give the particels a place to miagrate away from the surface)...

Lake Country Foam Car Wash Sponge also known as the Big Blue Cube (http://www.autogeek.net/car-wash-sponge.html).That's what I use. Just bought two more for this season's car washing...
Use it for ONR washes and for traditional washes.

Let it soak in water for a bit before using it to soften it up a bit.

I love these sponges.

I noticed you had the wookie Tad. Thanks for the info! I was very curious about it as well as I'm sure many others are.

I have really started to like using sponges, I use to use them then went to MF mitts and now back to a nice sponge and love it. Two I love are the Zymol one and Uber sponges. Too bad AG does not sell a comparable sponge as I dont like the offerings, in the sponge line up, that AG has.

It's pricy...But WOW I sure do like it!! I feel it gives me added protection during the wash step, and you know how I just love Merano wool :awesome: (I only use it on the Garage Queen, everything else gets MF or regular sheepskin)..

How much more soap solution you end up using that wookie than a regular mitt?

I use a microfiber chenille mitt regularly, and a lambswool mitt when I want something a little extra special with my wash.

I had the Boar's hair brush and used it with a 2 bucket wash but it scratched the paint no matter what I did. That is why I am looking for something else.

About another 1/2 bucket...I also use a foam gun for presoak. (Plus car never really gets very dirty) Don't let it happen...just wouldn't be reasonable, just wouldn't be prudent LOL haha...

LOL, very true would not want the black paint to turn brown due to dirt!
