I am working on an '89 Corvette convertible. I am able to make progress on most of the body just fine, however, the front and rear bumper pieces are extremely faded. Any suggestions on what I can use to bring the color back? The car is red and the bumpers (front and rear) are now faded to a "pinkish" color. Thanks for any assistance!

Any idea what they're made of? My guess would be fiberglass, but I'm not sure.

I did a Ford Mustang convertible, and I took the bumper from this:

to this

using Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, Meguiar's M07 Show Car Glaze, and Meguiar's NXT 2.0, all by hand.

This is a common problem for these components and in most cases the fading has affected the color coat under the clear coat so as I like to write...

More and more buffing won't make the paint look more and more better
