Need help in selecting a TDS meter that strikes a balance between cost and quality. One of my first purchases after finding this site was the clear inline water softener and sediment filter. Unfortunately I missed the CR systems that have the built in meter. Any suggestions?

Not so much worried about being cheap........is this considered a quality product? Doesn't have to be top of the line, just want to be sure that what I get is at least decent. Thanks.

I know nothing more about TDS meters than what they do, but generally when looking for an item like that I wouldn't buy the cheapest one I can find. At least step it up a notch or two. My $0.02 :xyxthumbs:

I decided to go with this meter:

AP-1: AquaPro Water Quality Tester (TDS) - HM Digital (http://www.tdsmeter.com/products/ap1.html)

I thought AG might carry this one eventually, since it is sold at Griot's:

Total Dissolved Solids Meter - Griot's Garage (http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/tools/specialty+tools/tds+meter.do?search=basic&keyword=%2Ceter&sortby=newArrivals&page=1)

That one looks like the HM TDS-3 model (it's more expensive on GG's site). It came down to that one and the AP-1........so I called HM to get an opinion and they guy said they were basically the same except the AP-1 is waterproof. For the few extra dollars I went for the AP-1.
