I had a 6 hour time limit on this car. When I saw the car 2 days ago I didn't think the paint was that bad, but after I started to correct the paint I noticed it was going to take alot more work. I used the same Cyan Hydro pad on this car as I did on the Rossion Q1. Man these pads gave me problems. They where clean and dry but they would not completely remove all the swirls. So after I had to go over the whole vehicle with a flat orange Lake country pad and then I finished with a white kompressor Lake Country pad.

Exterior:
Poorboy's World Super Slick Suds
Pinnacle Clay
Pinnacle Clay Lube
P21S Polishing Soap

Wheels/Tires
DP Gel Wheel Cleaner
Megs Hyper Dressing 2:1

Correction
M105 (LC Cyan Hydro/Flat Orange LC
M205 (White Kompressor LC Pad)

LSP:
Pinnacle Souveran Paste

Since I was in a time crunch for this car I only have 3 50/50 shots, but you can see how bad the paint was.

Nice turn around on the M3 Shawn.

Question. Is it just you that does the detailing or do you have a partner?

It just me. My partner is going to school an hour away from me. I am in the process for redueing the website About Us page.

WOW!!! It took you only 6 hours to do all of that? Man. Good deal. You must work in a business shop somewhere that everything is ready for you at all times.

For me, it takes me about 2 days to do inside, outside and engine. I'm always having to do this, do that, move this hear and there. I just have too many hands tied behind my back to be able to get a DBA and open business at my own place.

Nice job...did you figure out why the Hydro pad with 105 didn't remove the swrils?

I only did the exterior of the vehicle

I think it is because it was the second time I used the pad. THat is the only issue I can see that could cause the problem.

Thanks Guys

Does that mean you didn't wash the pad after the first use? Sorry, don't know what you mean by the second time you used the pad.

How did you polish around the grille area and under the headlights?

Nope the pads where washed, cleaned, and dry.

I removed the grills and I polished the headlight and under them at the same time

What if there's some spots that are truely inaccessible to a polisher (i.e. behind door handles, license plate area or just tigher spaces)? I think I remember reading somewhere that some dude just put his 105 on a MF pad then rubbed gently for a bit then switched to 205. Will that do the job?

You have to do it by hand. I use a AG Foam Applicator for those areas
