That you can use Car Polish/Glaze on RV's/Watercraft (Fiberglass/Gel Coat). Any truth to this? What are the differences? What if any harm could come from using a RV/Watercraft Polish on a Car or vice versa?

Experts? Can you solve my confusion, people are telling me two polar opposites and I just wanna know the facts, thanks!

Cast your peepers on this thread: Why Marine over Auto Products? - Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31862). Hope that helps answer your question. From what I understand, gel coats (and fiberglass coats) are much harder than automotive paint, so automotive products are not strong enough for Marine/RV "vehicles" and Marine/RV products are too strong for automotive paints. Which is why Meguiar's (and other companies) has separate lines for auto, motorcycle, and Marine/RV.

The most important thing to know is that any Marine Grade abrasive products are going to be to aggressive for your car's thin layer of clear paint.

Most boats made using are gel-coat and this coating is a lot thicker than an automotive clear coat.
