I know there are a million threads of this, but I am trying to find the cheapest, fastest way to get better results or possibly the best. I know the sanding is probably going to be my best bet, but if it takes a couple hours versus something I can use a drill with and get it done in half a hour. Post up your suggestions. Thank you!

Most any headlight restoration kit will improve the clarity of faded headlights. Most paint compounds and abrasive polishes will also work. Plastic is a lot more forgiving to work on than a clear coat finish just because it's thicker and usually softer.

If you're using a rotary buffer to buff out the car then hit the headlights during the process and as a good best practice, clean your pad after buffing any plastic before continuing onto any painted panels.

On classic cars I even run the rotary buffer over the glass headlights to maximize their shine.
