My customer picked up this Vette from a Benz dealer here in Pembroke Pines as a weekend toy. It only had 40xxxK miles and in very good condition.
But as we all know if you don't give specific instructions to the dealer not to touch your car, they will "Detail" it for you.
Guess what happened, when he went to pick up the car, this is what he found.

I admit that i didn't take a number of quality before and after pics, but i think you can still see the difference in the befores and afters.
I mentioned in one of my earlier posts that i have neglected many times in the past to stop and take good close up shots, i will be working on that.
It's just that i keep busy and often i don't want to lose the time for picture taking while working.

Now the paint is cloudy instead of swirly! Good job removing the buffer trails! The yellow car looks like a Fiero.

The yellow one is actually a Lotus, he had asked me to detail it but i never heard from him again as lots of people do . It's a huge pharmaceutical company with lots of nice cars, sadly most don't give a damn.

Sometimes the body kits people put on Fiero's are so close it's hard to distinguish! After looking at the glass I realized it wasn't a Fiero.

clear difference in removal of buffer trails ... one suggestion though, remove the dried wax in the letters on rear lamps. A toothbrush should help and then coat with Plexus. (just a small catch)

You're right, it was one of those times when taking pics before everything was done and there was so much of a mess to clean up from what they did, i actually have taken care of all the little details during the subsequent times i have worked on the car.

Nice results!

You should tell the guy to bill the dealer for your work.

Thanks, i used my Makita with SIP and 106 to finish.
I doubt the dealer would have gone for that proposal to pay for the detail, i have another customer with a CLK 63 Black Series that i had just done a full detail on when it went in to the dealership for some repairs.
When he got it back it had some kind of crap on the paint and back window...he told them i would take care of it again and they had to pay the bill, they refused and told him to bring it back to them.

Yep, I doubt the dealers would be willing to do anything, typical.

But thats when it is good to have good friends that are lawyers ;) For clients of ours, we have provided pictures of the "afters" of our details, with dates and a cover letter. The clients takes these, and some pics of the car after the dealer's mess back to the dealer. This plus the mention of "...or my lawyer will summon you to court..." usually works, although it may take more than one visit. But a couple hundred bucks is better than going to court for the dealers. Of course, being a licensed and registered business helps too.

But A CLK63 Black!? I would sue the dealer pronto for that one. I find it inexcusable for any dealer to be sloppy, especially when the economy is so bad. A MB dealer SHOULD have a decent polisher among their workers. Hey, maybe thats an opportunity for you right there ;)

You are absolutely right about showing the after pics and threatening with talk of a lawyer getting involved.
Funny thing is, my customer with the CLK IS a lawyer. He didn't want to bother, he drives it as his daily driver and even though he lets me take good care of it, he still drives the crap out of it.
Out of the 350 sold nation wide, it seems that half of them must be driving around south florida.
That's so amazing about the area , we see exotics as daily drivers everywhere.

Man! What a bummer. Must be good not to have to worry about "small" things like that ;) Oh well. I'll help by showing some sympathy for the poor car and crying, haha.

Man, i did the crying already. That's why most of my customers won't let anyone else touch their cars, because they know that often i care more than they do.
