View Full Version : Microfiber that came with Wolfgang kit didn't survive initial wash...

I recently placed an order that included a pinnacle souveran kit and the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Total Concours Kit kit
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Total Concours Kit, exterior car care kit, wash, clay, polish, and wax (http://www.autogeek.net/wg6500.html)
among other things.

I always wash my microfiber before using them for the first time, so I put these towels in the washer on the gengle cycle, warm/ warm, and used some of the newly acquired DP microfiber wash.

When I took the towels out and hung them up to dry I noticed the ends frayed pretty badly. After they dried and upon closer inspection there is no way these are touching my car. The area under the edge stitching is very rough, and this will easily mar up my paint.

I cannot believe they didn't even survive one wash.

Here are some pictures.

Should I contact someone at autogeek about this?

I had the same problem with my Cobra Waffle Weave Microfiber Glass Towel.

Trust me they will and no waiting on the line for 10 min! haha...

Looks like it got caught on something, idk, but give AG a call they will take care of ya like Matt said.

Since all corners of both towels are like that I do not think they got caught on anything.

I sent Matt a PM.

I've gotten some free microfiber towels with some other products I bought and the problem I had is that they left so much lint it was unbelievable. Are the towels that come free with other products Cobra towels? I've avoided buying Cobra towels for that very reason. I've never had any problems with any AG products before. But since the towels came free with the purchase it didn't really bother me too much. Can't remember which products the towels I'm speaking came with though.

All my cobra towels are kind of like that. But I've noticed it hasn't gotten worse. I still use them because they feel softer than the costco ones.

Btw, I really like the green ones better.

Those Green Cobra detailing microfibers are the main towels I use for almost everything, great as an all rounder. Costco towels are shockingly good for the money and I just bought a few packs when they restocked and when I used them, it reminded me that they are very nice (when new, they do degenerate rather quickly).

FYI; the short pile in the Green Cobras are really good for quick detailing a clean car since they don't seem to create as much static.
