Water Softner and Filter

I have been looking at the water softner that Autogeek has. I was wondering how often you must rejuvinate the softner cartridge? I have already heard the statement " It depends on how hard your water is " . I just want to know approx number of washes it will do. I want to know am I going to be doing this every week,month or couple of months. I would use it only when washing a car. Not watering the garden or any other use.

I got about 15-20 washes out of mine before recharging was needed....but like you mentioned, it depends how hard your water is. Mine is pretty hard and leaves nasty mineral deposits w/o the filter. :(

You'll see an increase in the amount of water spots / water hardness.

I went to matt's house last week and washed the tC with his filter that had 15 or so washes on it. I rinsed the car off and then let the water dry off (we were busy polishing a mustang). Came back 5 minutes later (damn the florida sun to h*ll) and there were all sorts of waterspots on the car.
