I've been reading that Meguiar's M105 is very difficult to use until you get the hang of it. Why do some folks feel this way and are there any specific pointers to know before I attempt to use it?

Any insight to correctly using this would be greatly appreciated! :Picture:

What color Lake Country pad should I use on my Makita 9227 buffer?

Thanks!

With M105, you can use a wool or white pad. It's good to follow up M105/wool with M105/white. I had a tough time, and still am to some extent, getting used to it because I used Menzerna polishes a lot which have diminishing abrasives, and M105 is non-diminishing. You just have to get used to the quick work time and make sure you have enough polish between the pad and paint.

I had no problem with it. I started out with it on orange pads by rotary. Just clean the pads often, as with any compound and I think you'll be fine. I found myself using much more polish with the Meg's stuff than the Menzerna, which I was used to. The results are outstanding.
