What digital camera are you using?

I see a lot of good pictures on the forum and was wondering what camera you prefer? I lost mine over the holidays, so I looking for some suggestions before I go shopping (around $200).
I assume that the best looking ones are taken with a SLR type camera, but you never know. I would like to buy an SLR down the road, but the funds are there yet.

I got a Canon A1100IS for my fiancee for Christmas. I have a post on here that I used the camera with. It has 12 megapixels with 4x optical zoom. It was only $140. It's nothing special, but I think it's great for what I use it for!

I'm now using a Panasonic Lumix...8.1 megapixels with a 10x zoom. Most of my photos though were taken with my previous camera I still use occasionally...Olympus E10 w/4 megapixels and a 4x zoom. The Olympus has a viewfinder as well as an LCD screen, which definitely is an advantage in some lighting conditions.

Kodak EasyShare C875. 8 Mega-pixels and it still works after four years. At one time it was one of the best cameras out there, then I think the next week it was obsolete. Regardless, we're firm believers that it's not the size of your telescoping lens but how you use it.:)

I have looked at the Stylus Tough 6000 & 8000 a lot due to the durability of it. I was a little turned off when I read some comments about the "just average" photo quality. Do you think the picure quality is good?

Thanks, I checked out your pictures - they looked good, especially for the price you paid! How is the battery life? I see that the camera uses 2 AAs?

I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7, 7.2 megapixel, 6x optical zoom. We paid $200 for it about 2.5 years ago and after some searching just a bit ago they can be had for about $100 new right now.

We have been VERY happy with this camera, our only complaint is that you can't zoom in or out when recording video. It uses two "AA" batteries, but with some good 2500 mAh rechargables, I don't ever remember burning up a set of fully charged batteries.

I think it does good :)
