Well, due to a lack of attention, I am out of dressing... I made a mistake and accidently bought the Meguiar's Hyper Dressing BOTTLE, not the actual product. Oh well...

Well, now I'm stuck. What are the choices of possible OTC water based dressings? Are there any water based OTC dressings that can be possibly diluted?

I don't know about a dilutable OTC dressing - but Surf City Garage Beyond Black dressing is one of my favorites. It is a water based spray.

It is found locally at Pep Boys. It should hold you over until you get your Hyper Dressing from AG. The HD will definitely go farther for your dollar.

You can find Hyper Dressing at retail store that deal with the professional line. I think there is a link on the Meg's site that lets you find them.

The gloss is kind of relative to the way you apply it. If you use it sparingly and buff it after application, it will leave a nice even satin finish.

Buff it with what pad? Does it matter?

No pads, you aren't polishing lol. Get a microfiber towel and wipe the area where you applied the dressing to tone down the gloss and minimize that 'greasy' look.

Armor-All Protectant (low gloss finish) is very good too, but I am not sure if it is water based even though the consistency is very watery.

LOL no pads just a wipe down after 10 minutes of it dwelling. Also you may be able to find 303 protectant at marine supply stores.
