Hello all
I am thinking of purchasing a foam gun, but I don't have a pressure washer. Does anyone have any experience with foam guns that can be used without a pressure washer? Is it worth using one without a pressure washer??
Feed back please (Feedback would be VERY much appreciated)!
Thanks,
Tad

I have a foam gun and no pressure washer and it works great. Have to make sure you use the correct wash soap. I use DP Xtreme Foam Formula and get tons of foam with it.

Foam cannon works only with a pressure washer. The foam gun works with a water hose. Its a nice tool that works well...

Do you have this one, or a different one?

After you use a foam gun, do you still wash the car normally with bucket and mf mit/sponge/whatever? Orrrrr do you just use the mf mit/sponge on the foam that's on the car and just rinse it off?

I still use a sponge. I use the foam gun to soak the car. Then go in with a sponge while using the gun to keep lubricating the car. I also still use a rinse bucket

trichard, I have that foam gun you mentioned and like it. I rinse the car, Foam gun the car, let it sit for a minute while I toothbrush and griots rubber cleaner the window seals, come back and rinse car. Move to regular multiple bucket w/ grit guards for washing. One important thing is I think the water on your mitt coming from the bucket and not just being suds is going to have a lot more lubricants. The suds do not have as many lubricants.

I used the sample foaming soap that came with it. After that I just went to using the same soap I use in the buckets UPGW (Ultima) It foams great as well when coming from the gun.

It certainly isn't needed but it certainly can't hurt.
