I don't think I ever posted up here about my car being side swiped hit and run style. I was at a friends house inside and come to find my car's passnger side all nice and chewed up with lot's of paint smearing and nice gouges...

$500 later this is what I've got. I only used the Pinnacle XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1 on the fresh paint. No need t ogo with anything abrasive. All it needed was a touch up.

Products used:
Menzerna SIP with LC Orange pad
Pinnacle XMT Fine Swirl Remover #2 with LC Orange pad
Pinnacle XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1 with LC White pad
Poorboy's EX-P Sealant with LC Blue pad and cured for 12 hours
Natty's Blue past wax (2 coats) by hand

Nice and new looking!! :xyxthumbs: I've always like the odd colors on Mustangs. I miss not having the Tangerine Orange GT I had back in 1996. I had one of about 600.

I have two questions for you:

Do you have pics of what it looked like before the body work was done?

Was the front bumper cover repainted?

Looks great, just reading your post made my stomach ache, I hate to even think someone would do that. Great job on the repair.

Here's the damage. Front bumper cover was not repainted entirely. The previous owners apparently had rubbed something a long time ago and took some paint off. They took it to a shop and did it under the table. The car, before this incident, had a completely clean carfax with 80,000 (at time of accident) miles on her. I found the little spot when I took the PC to it for the first a long time ago. It's small, but I saw it. The paint was blended into the hood as well because of the mileage and all. A little work with the buffer and you can't even tell the car was ever touched.

Ohhhhh so you didn't get our favourite friend, Bobby from Bobby's autorepairs to fix if for you?

He would have even thrown in a free paintjob for your tires and driveway.

Good to see it's looking nice again!

People who hit and run are just swine!

Thanks for showing the before pics. It's sad how people do that kinda crap. It happens way too often down here in the Rio Grande Valley. No one knows how to drive. MANY do not even have insurance. ugh

About the front bumper. The after pics you posted, I could tell the front was repainted. Ford does not paint the lower half on front bumpers. They leave the black rubber moldings shown. If what I said makes sense to ya.

ive been debating on putting the black vinyl on the rear bumper... i like the look of it! we have new headlights b/c the stock ones were so oxidizes on the inside. My buddy is selling tinted taillights, after seeing them on yours, i may end up getting them!! 50 bucks for the pair of stock ones tinted.

a grille delete is DEF next for us!!!

The SN95's were different in quite a few ways from the New Edges man. Hell, even the New Edges vary. Some have Romeos, some have Winsors.

I wanted to drop the car 1.5" and throw a Mach 1 chin spoiler on it, but living on your own and being in college kinda leaves zero room for money.

I've juggled a grill delete before. I like it and all, but can't justify spending the money on one.

If you get the vinyl stickers make sure yo uget the glossy black. Also avoid VHT NiteShades for your taillights. Just buy the Ebay black out tint. I used the VHT, got pulled over quite a few times for it because they were too dark. With the tint, there is no guessing.

The yellow is a little hard to get that 'pop' isn't it? lol

Guess what though man. I have Flowmaster 40's and a UPR offroad X as well. Mine is a manual transmission though.
