I am going to be detailing a friends car who has power coated wheels. The wheels are track only wheels and are subject to extreme heat. Whats the best step to get them cleaned up nicely and protected so brake dust and other elements can be cleaned off relatively easily? Thanks!

to clean the wheels i like to use DP gel wheel cleaner, and than coat with some DP wheel glaze. i have found the wheel glaze makes cleaning the next time a lot quicker and easy.

Thats the exact combo I got. Just wanting to make sure it will work happily on the power coated wheels.

P21S Wheel Cleaner is also safe ... followup with DP or Poorboys Wheel Glaze indeed.

I like to use Klasse AIO and/or Duragloss 501 on my powder coated wheels. P21s is great wheel cleaner. It's mild yet effective.

When the wheels are cleaned the next time with the DP wheel cleaner, will it strip off the wheel glaze?

any wheel cleaner will strip wax off, just use saop and water for weekly cleaning.
