I have black powdercoated wheels with a polished lip. I use whatever wax I have out for the body on my wheels. I'm thinking about getting PB Black Hole glaze and topping it with EX. Is this a good combo, or would a wheel sealant be better and last longer?

I personally don't have experience with wheel waxes but quite a few people seem to like using the Klasse twins and get good results. Klasse Kit, klasse car kit, klasse car care kit (http://autogeek.net/klassekit.html)

Thanks skizot, it works good on wheels? Any glaze before hand?

+1 on the Collinite 845 (Insulator wax)

As for the glaze, I wouldn't recommend it as 845 is VERY high in solvents so it will probably erase the glaze (oh yea rhyme time! :p)

Clean the wheels remove all the brake dust ,Road grime give them a coat of D.P wheel wax or Poor Boys wheel sealant and you will be good to go.Not sure if the 845 can withstand the temperature from the heat transfer from the brakes to the rims.I use the PB without any problems on my vette and the one's in my corvette club

For winter I switched to Collinite 476. It holds up well.

I've driven 2 hours and can touch the wheels comfortably. The wheels get warm, but never hot.

If you are looking for something quick and easy ... after each wash while drying spritz with Fk425 or FK146 and dry completely.

Easily, it's designed to stand up to flash fires and such in electrical substations so wheel heat should be a walk on the beach :dblthumb2:

Jason from Deep Gloss Auto Salon turned me onto using 845 on the wheels. I have not had any issues with the heat breaking it down. I live in Florida and the car surface gets pretty damn hot from the sun. I would say that it does a great job and nothing to worry about. Cleans up nicely too. Beads like crazy!
